What is Walking Football?

Walking Football is football with one simple tweak: no running. It’s gentler on joints, easy to pick up, and brilliant for fitness and confidence. Sessions focus on short passes, good positioning, and lots of smiles, ideal if you’re returning to activity, managing an injury, or just prefer a calmer kickabout.

Who’s it for?

Everyone is welcome, whether you’ve played for years or never kicked a ball. Many of our players are 50+, but we welcome adults of all ages and abilities who want an inclusive, friendly game at a safer pace.

Chorley FC began life as a rugby club, before switching to association football in 1883. Known as The Magpies since the 1890s because of their distinctive black and white striped shirts, the Club have played in six different leagues during a 135-year existence, currently playing in the National League North.
