Junior Magpies Football Academy

A fun, supportive and engaging weekly football programme for children aged 5 to 13, delivered by Chorley FC Community Foundation. Sessions focus on skills, confidence and teamwork in a safe, positive environment.

Weekly Sessions

Choose the age group that suits your child. Each group has a dedicated one hour training slot every week, with age appropriate coaching, activities and mini matches.

Junior Magpie Starters

Time: 6.00pm to 7.00pm

Fun games and movement

Ball familiarity and simple skills

Building confidence and friendships

Junior Magpie Players

Time: 7.00pm to 8.00pm

Ball mastery and dribbling

Passing, shooting and decision making

Small sided games and teamwork

Junior Magpie Masters

Time: 8.00pm to 9.00pm

Your child can attend one weekly session at their chosen time and age group. Places are limited to keep groups small and the coaching experience high quality.

Chorley FC began life as a rugby club, before switching to association football in 1883. Known as The Magpies since the 1890s because of their distinctive black and white striped shirts, the Club have played in six different leagues during a 135-year existence, currently playing in the National League North.
