The Chorley FC Business Club

A Quarterly Meeting bringing businesses together at Victory Park

Chorley FC Business Club

The Chorley FC Business Club was created to bring together local businesses, professionals, and community-minded organisations who share a passion for making Chorley a better place to live, work, and thrive. It’s more than just a networking group. It’s a community of people who believe in supporting one another while also supporting local sport and the wider work of the Chorley FC Community Foundation.

Through regular events, the Business Club provides a relaxed space to meet new people, share ideas, learn from inspiring speakers, and explore ways to collaborate. It’s about building meaningful relationships, not just swapping business cards.

Our Next Event – Friday 21st August 2026 10.15am-1pm

We’re excited to announce our next Business Club event, taking place on Friday 21st August 2026 at Victory Park, the home of Chorley FC.

Join us for another morning of inspiration, connection, and community, as we welcome three incredible speakers who each bring their own story and passion to the stage:

Vickie Blackburn

Vickie Blackburn will share the deeply personal story behind Woodlands Animal Sanctuary. From a lifelong passion for animal welfare to leading one of Lancashire's most respected charities. Hear the highs, the heartbreaks, the challenges and the incredible moments that have shaped her journey and inspired thousands along the way.

Jamie Vermiglio

Jamie Vermiglio is a full-time Headteacher, part-time Chairman of Chorley FC, and a lifelong Magpie. From leading the club through its most successful era to taking Chorley FC onto primetime BBC television, Jamie will share the leadership lessons, challenges and defining moments behind building a culture where people and teams can thrive.

Phil Owen

Phil Owen has spent years helping businesses across Chorley start, grow and thrive. In this honest and insightful talk, he'll share what really makes businesses succeed, the common mistakes he sees time and again, and the opportunities many local businesses are missing. Expect practical advice, fresh perspectives and plenty of takeaways you can put into action straight away.

Tim Mitchell

Tim Mitchell has a story like no other. From a TV worthy travelling adventure to overcoming some of life's toughest personal battles, his journey is packed with resilience, humour and unforgettable experiences. Expect an honest, inspiring talk that will leave you thinking differently about challenges, opportunities and what really matters.
